Lofaro: Helping us plan for the immediate future

Pitkin County voters:

This fall, vote “yes” on 1A to renew the Healthy Community Fund.

Since the inception of the Healthy Community Fund in 2002, the Buddy Program has been receiving funds that have supported our mission to empower youth through mentoring to achieve their full potential. Due to the long-term vision of county voters and commissioners, this funding has been a stable, reliable source of income for our organization. It has come in the form of two or three year commitments, helping us plan for the immediate future. 

In addition to supporting the Buddy Program, the fund supports non-profit partners who we work closely with to ensure that whole families are thriving in our community. It is this network of care that makes our community truly healthy! 

Thank you for voting “yes” for renewals since 2002 — and for voting “yes” again this year!
