On Sunday, Oct. 4, our community came together for the Rubey Rescue Run, and the turnout exceeded all expectations! One hundred runners, walkers and families filled Koch Park with energy and generosity in support of the Friends of the Aspen Animal Shelter and its animal welfare mission.

This event would not have been possible without our incredible local sponsors and volunteers. Special thanks to Paradise Bakery, Clark’s Market, Louis Swiss Bakery and Afternoon Deelites for donating food, and to Mountain Paws Vet, city of Aspen, Tito’s Handmade Vodka, Frank’s Fresh Dog Food, Aspen Luxe Med Spa, Aspen Snowmass Sotheby’s and Landeros High Altitude Renovations for their generous sponsorships and contributions.

We are equally grateful to our dedicated volunteers, who gave their time and energy from early-morning setup through the final cleanup. Their enthusiasm and hard work made the day run smoothly and created a welcoming experience for everyone.

To our participants, donors, sponsors and volunteers: thank you for making this event such a success! We are incredibly grateful to be part of a community that shows up for animals in need.

We can’t wait to see you next year. Mark your calendars and bring a friend!
