Obit: Richard D. Lytle
Richard D. Lytle, of Canton, Ohio, died Feb. 20 in Grand Junction following hospitalization for an accident. He was 70 years old.
Lytle was born in Youngstown, Ohio, on June 29, 1929 to L.H. and Leota (Stocker) Lytle. He was a graduate of Staunton Military Academy and Ohio University.
He served as first lieutenant in the Army prior to his distinguished career in business with Star Bronze Company, Inc. He became president of the company in 1982.
Lytle is survived by his wife, Tracy Veach-Lytle; daughters Sue Ann of Tennessee, and Sally and Patricia of Ohio; and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
A memorial service will be held at the top of Elk Camp at Snowmass ski area, at noon on Saturday. Donations in lieu of flowers may be made to Mountain Rescue Aspen, 630 W. Main St., Aspen CO 81611.
