The Arts Campus at Willits will host its first-ever kids’ rave with “GOLDEN: A K-pop Kids Party,” from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, June 14, in Basalt.
The family-friendly event will be packed with K-pop hits, familiar movie soundtracks and pop anthems.
“A kids’ dance party featuring a DJ spinning K-Pop music and playing videos is a great way for families to kick off summer. A high-energy evening for all ages is guaranteed,” Director of Programming Kendall Smith said.
K-pop, a blend of pop, hip-hop and EDM, has moved from niche to global mainstay, propelled by viral hits and chart-topping acts. Designed for self-expression and community, the event pairs upbeat dance tracks with an early end time, ideal for getting everyone home for a good night’s rest.
Smith added, “As TACAW continues to serve families through summer camps, workshops and the development of the Youth Empowerment Space, we also present opportunities for the entire family to share experiences in the theater. Golden does just that.”
Tickets are $25 for members or $30 in advance and $35 on the day of the event. The event is geared toward ages 5 to 12. The venue is located at 400 Robinson St. in Basalt. For more information and tickets, visit tacaw.org/calendar/golden-a-k-pop-kids-party.
