Bosq Aspen remains open as facade work continues

Bosq Aspen is open and operating, despite appearances suggesting otherwise. The restaurant welcomed back guests on Dec. 28, while crews continue working on the exterior.
Bosq General Manager Nick Heileman urges passersby not to let the construction fool them.
“If you cruise by the restaurant during the day, crews are working on all the drywalling and everything out front. Our front is wrapped in plastic right now,” Heileman said. “People keep asking if Bosq is open right now. We are, and we have been going steady since Dec. 28.”
From the street, the facade’s plastic covering may give the impression the restaurant is closed.
“We jokingly refer to the plastic construction wrap out front as ‘Aspen Brutalist architecture,'” he said. “The construction on the facade is about a week or two from completion; but despite the look on the outside, the inside is just as warm and welcoming as it has been.”
He noted that by evening, the plastic is removed, restoring a more familiar look to the entrance.
“Our initial delay in opening was needing a new support beam in the dining room. That is fully done, and the interior of the restaurant is as beautiful as ever,” he said. “The only work left is on the facade, where they are finishing up the drywall and concrete work on the face-lift portion.”
Construction ends daily at 4 p.m., and the Bosq team is eager to see the final touches completed. Reservations are available at bosqaspen.com, and Heileman encourages those curious about the restaurant or the progress to book a table.
“I promise that the plastic sheeting will not be there when you arrive for your reservation,” he said. “We are excited to continue serving locals and visitors alike.”
