UPDATE AS OF 10:39 A.M.: The structure fire has been contained and Smith Hill Way is back open.
A structure fire has caused Smith Hill Way to close at Colorado Highway 82 as of 8:50 a.m.
Drivers are asked to use an alternate route.
The expected length of this event is unknown. The Aspen Times will provide updates as they become available.
