Wille: Elect John Doyle for Pitkin County commissioner

I would like to voice my support for John Doyle in his bid for District 1 Pitkin County commissioner.

I have been a close friend of John’s since he first moved to Aspen in the early 1980s. In his 40+ years as an Aspen resident, he has fully immersed himself in our community, working in the ski industry, local restaurants, construction trades and in the arts. He brings a wealth of true local experience to the table. This long-time perspective is critical if we hope to maintain the conditions which drew many to Pitkin County and keep us rooted here.

The challenges we face are manyfold; John has demonstrated a pragmatic, well-informed approach to his work as a member of the Aspen City Council. He is a proven listener and collaborative problem solver. He is not afraid to stand up against special interests that would do harm to our environment and quality of life. His stated focus as a commissioner is on the environment, workforce housing and protection of public lands.

Please consider giving John your vote!
