Obituary: Mark Wells

Mark Wells, 65, of Ft. Lauderdale, FL passed away December 15, 2020. Predeceased by his parents, Chuck and Shirley Wells of Denver, he was born in Sacramento, CA and moved to Denver at the age of 3. Mark studied theatre at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts and the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art. He performed at Boulder’s Dinner Theater and at the Crystal Palace Theatre Restaurant in Aspen, Co. In 2002 he moved to Florida with his co-worker/wife, Rita and their 4-month-old son, Spencer, to create Laffing Matterz in Fort Lauderdale. He was loved by many and proud to have made people laugh and forget about life’s troubles.
He is survived by his ex-wife and best friend, Rita (Meehan) and their son, Spencer, his sister, Sharon Frazier of Charlotte, NC, brothers, Paul and Maril Wells of AZ, John and Kathy Wells of Denver and his many nieces, nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews. Individuals wishing to honor Mark are encouraged to donate to the American Diabetes Association.
