Ken Hammerle, 69, of Carbondale, Colorado died on June 16, 2025. Born on November 19, 1955, in Harvey, Illinois to Robert A. Hammerle and Lillian Martinsen Hammerle, Ken attended Oakton High School in Vienna, Virginia, Utah State University and Arizona State University, where he received an MBA in finance and accounting.
Ken leaves behind his beloved wife and best friend, Lisa Curran. He is also survived by his sister, Ruth (Russell) Maxfield of Hamilton, Ohio; sister-in-law LaNae Hammerle of Rockledge, Florida; nieces and nephews, Melissa Hammerle of Seattle, Washington; Matthew (Amy) Hammerle of Springfield, Virginia, Kristin (Clayton) Hynfield of Hamilton, Ohio, Kevin (Melissa) Maxfield of Cincinnati, Ohio; and numerous grand and great-grand nieces and nephews. Ken was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Robert A. Hammerle Jr., and his nephew, Russell Maxfield Jr.
A devoted husband, brother, uncle, cousin and friend, he will be deeply missed.
A memorial service will be held at Snowmass Chapel on Wednesday, August 6, 2025, at 4pm; a Celebration of Life will be held at Maggiano’s in Englewood, CO at 12pm on Saturday, August 9, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Music Therapy of the Rockies (musictherapyretreats.org/donate).
