Matthew Patrick Rubsamen, 36, of Glenwood Springs, Colorado, passed away on July 7, 2025. A funeral service will take place at St. Stephen Catholic Church, 1885 Blake Ave., Glenwood Springs, Colorado, on Saturday, July 19th, at 10:00 A.M. Matthew was born in Miami, Florida, on March 10, 1989, and his family moved to Delray Beach, Florida when he was nine years old. Matthew worked in Colorado as a respected realtor and was known for his strong work ethic and dedication to his clients and community. Matthew was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing, surfing, snowboarding, and mountain biking. He loved spending time with his family and friends. He was deeply loved by those who knew him. He had a larger-than-life personality and would light up the room when he entered with his smile and laughter. Matthew was involved in many community charity events including golf tournaments and events for St. Stephen Catholic School. Matthew is survived by his two children, Lauren, age 4, and Ryan, age 3, as well as his parents, Patrick and Merilynn Rubsamen, his brothers, Christopher and Joseph, and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. Matthew will be remembered for his laughter, free spirit, and deep love for his children, family, and friends. He will be missed dearly.
