The Roaring Fork Outdoor Coalition, a cross-jurisdictional collaboration among state, federal, and local governments that is working to turn ideas into action and fund projects for the benefit of area recreation and conservation, is seeking participants for a Community Advisory Group, according to a press release.

Group members will be selected to represent broad outdoor interests, including conservation, outdoor recreation, under-represented populations, agriculture, private lands, and sportspersons, according to the press release. Members will attend a series of meetings over two years and provide input to help guide the development of regional conservation and recreation priorities and actions. Each meeting, of about two hours, will be led by a trained, neutral facilitator and supported by outside experts in biodiversity, recreation management, and equity. Participation will be accommodated both in person and virtually.

An application for interested participants and more information about the coalition is available at pitkincounty.com/rfoc.

A selection committee, made up of locally-appointed open space board, conservation, and recreation organization members, will determine eligible applicants that represent broad interest groups, according to the press release. The Community Advisory Group is anticipated to be capped at 40 participants.
