Longtime local Doug Leibinger celebrated his 6-0 at a 60s-themed birthday party at Buckhorn Cabin on Saturday, March 7. Friends dressed in vintage attire and gathered under the blue skies with a grand buffet.
While International Women’s Day was March 8, an annual uphill and champagne lunch at Buttermilk took place on Monday, March 9, with a complimentary Veuve Clicquot toast, beats by DJ Natti and hot lunch available inside the Cliffhouse.
Newlyweds Kimberly Bakker and Todd Hoeffner hosted a St. Paddy’s Day party on the patio at Ajax Tavern on March 17. Irish accouterments, from green necklaces to sunglasses, were strewn across the tables, while chilled bottles of bubbles and rosé were complemented by cones of truffle fries and sliders.
The W Aspen presented a reception for Olympic Gold Medalist Alex Ferreira on Saturday, March 21. The intimate gathering of Ferreira’s family and friends celebrated his impressive feat of collecting a gold medal at the 2026 Milano Cortina Games to add to his silver medal from the 2018 Pyeongchang Games and bronze at the 2022 Beijing Games.










Nearly 2,000 ski instructors have joined lawsuit against Vail Resorts so far; opt-in deadline is Wednesday
Consent forms filed in federal court on Friday show that nearly 2,000 ski and snowboard instructors have joined a collective action against Vail Resorts, alleging Fair Labor Standards Act lawsuit against the company.
