Manhattan-based fashion label Theory presented a cozy winter dinner on Friday, Dec. 13, at The Snow Lodge. The all-women guest list was invited to the event and then sent a link to select threads from Theory to wear (and keep), creating a monochromatic look that tied the room together. The Snow Lodge staff also outfitted in styles for the season by Theory, looked the part, as well. Co-hosts Sara Zilkha and Sonya Auvray, Snow Lodge owner Jayma Cardoso, and members of the Theory team welcomed all over cocktails at 7 p.m. while multi-hyphenate musician Louis Middleton performed on the baby grand piano. Dinner followed at 8 at a festively-dressed table with personalized place cards, softly lit candles, and a delicious family-style meal from Preston Hix, the restaurant’s new executive chef. Hix most recently worked as chef de cuisine at Le Bilboquet in Cherry Creek North following roles at establishments in Miami, Vail, and elsewhere.

Up next at The Snow Lodge is a concert series that was just released with shows throughout its multiple venues of the apres-ski courtyard, tented Jade Room, and indoor Supper Club, as well as a New Year’s Eve show headlined by David Guetta in the ballroom at The St. Regis.

WineInk: Summer at Hotel Jerome

But the grand dames of Aspen are the three magnificent hotel properties within walking distance of each other that form a virtual triangle of hospitality. Hotel Jerome on Main Street, The Little Nell hotel at the base of Aspen Mountain, and the St. Regis Aspen Resort. All three are closed now for the offseason, but it will not be long before they reopen their doors to welcome guests, and all three will be in high gear by the time the Food and Wine Classic in Aspen rolls into town on June 20 for the weekend.
