Looking for a year-round staple? Marea will continue to offer its Italian coastal cuisine with a focus on seafood and home-made pasta at The Snow Lodge inside The St. Regis Aspen.
The renowned restaurant, which originally opened at The Snow Lodge for the winter season in December 2025, will reopen for summer service on June 8, extending its Aspen residency through the 2026 summer.
“After a winter taste of what Aspen can be, we feel our menu would fit right in for the summer season,” Marea Brand Executive Chef PJ Calapa said.
Calapa will debut a fresh, new menu for Aspen’s upcoming season. The summer menu highlights will include ricciola (Palisades peaches, hamachi, chilies), moleche (soft shell crab, Rocky Ford melons, prosciutto and basil) and Marea’s iconic lobster roll, according to a press release.
“Our first season in Aspen was an exciting opportunity to introduce Marea’s cuisine in the mountains, and the response exceeded expectations. Moving into the summer allows us to continue that dialogue with guests in a different way; lighter, more seasonal expressions of the menu, while staying true to the identity of Marea,” Calapa said in the release. “It’s a chance to keep building on the energy we created this winter and evolve the experience into a year-round staple.”
Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Altamarea Group Ahmass Fakahany added in the release, “Given the strong demand and continued momentum, extending into the summer is a natural next step — allowing us to welcome new guests and present Marea through a different seasonal lens in Aspen.”
Marea’s classics, however, will remain, and guests can continue to enjoy pristine crudi, hand-rolled pastas and the signature standout seafood. The summer menu will retain the famed fusilli with octopus and bone marrow, and a butter-poached lobster with soft burrata.

The Marea beverage program also returns with Aspen-exclusive cocktails and Marea’s award-winning wine list led by Senior Brand Director Francesco Grosso. The cellar spans Italy’s grand estates and global finds, and signature cocktails include Baciato dal Sole (limoncello, gentian liqueur, Vermouth di Torino Bianco, club soda) and the Too Bad She’s Bad (gin or mezcal, strawberry Campari, sweet vermouth, Calabrian chili Vecchio, Amaro del Capo).

Known worldwide for coastal Italian cuisine, Marea first opened on Central Park South in New York City and expanded to Beverly Hills in 2024. Aspen is the brand’s third U.S. location.
“Marea summer in the alpine is a dream for us: Clean air, clean living and eating clean with our summer menu,” Fakahany told The Aspen Times.
