Marea Aspen is staying through summer, keeping the mountain dining scene hot.

For the first time, Marea Aspen — set at The Snow Lodge inside The St. Regis Aspen Resort — extends its residency into the warmer months, reopening June 10 with a lighter season-driven menu for visitors and locals alike to enjoy Altamarea Group’s refined hospitality.

“This is our first Alpine summer season after our winter launch, and we are excited about aligning with the community vibe and all the festivals. Summer in Aspen has a different tempo and magic that fits well with Marea’s DNA,” Founder and CEO of Altamarea Group Ahmass Fakahany told The Aspen Times.

Following a successful Aspen winter debut, the summer reopening extends that momentum. The menu will showcase a lighter, more seasonal expression of Marea’s signature coastal Italian cuisine, tailored to Aspen’s summer lifestyle.

Led by Executive Chef PJ Calapa, the menu is ingredient-driven and will evolve throughout the season with an emphasis on “freshness, balance and refinement,” according to a release. New seasonal additions lean into local and regional produce.

The cocktail program mirrors this with bright, effervescent options.

“Marea is known for its outdoor seasonal terraces and patios, and the new one at the St. Regis will bring to clients the ‘al fresco’ Marea experience but here uniquely enveloped around the beautiful mountains,” Fakahany said.

“Our first season in Aspen was an exciting opportunity to introduce Marea’s cuisine in the mountains, and the response exceeded expectations,” Calapa said in a statement. “Moving into the summer allows us to continue that dialogue with guests in a different way — lighter, more seasonal expressions of the menu, while staying true to the identity of Marea. It’s a chance to build on the energy we created this winter and evolve the experience for the season.”

Inside The St. Regis Aspen Resort, the space balances chic polished elegance and easy warmth, shifting from breezy summer lunches to vibrant twilight dinners.

“We often describe Marea as ‘relaxed glamour’ so this is our comfort zone. It is about delivering the highest quality but with a comfortable undercurrent. It is this approachable skew, without compromise, that creates the balance and the repeat client.  We want clients to be themselves, and we will take care of the rest,” Fakahany said.

Aspen is Marea’s third U.S. home joining its flagship location in New York and another in Beverly Hills.

“While we have some Marea dishes and client favorites, the local environment and product is what makes that specific Marea have its own individuality and added client appreciation,” Fakahany said.

Special event — ‘Aspen Food & Wine: Marea After Dark,’ June 20

Marea Aspen will also host a one-night-only ticketed celebration, “Aspen Food & Wine: Marea After Dark” will run from 8 to 11 p.m Saturday, June 20, at The Snow Lodge set inside The St. Regis Aspen Resort. The evening features Marea Executive Chef PJ Calapa, alongside Mason Hereford of New Orleans’ Turkey & the Wolf, with cocktails by Lynnette Marrero, co-founder of Speed Rack and founder of Brookyn’s Milly’s, presented in partnership with Codigo 1530 Tequila.
