The Aspen Valley Ski and Snowboard Club Sports Swap, an annual community tradition, returns from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 4., at Market Street in Willits Town Center.

“With the leaves changing, this midvalley swap offers the perfect excuse to get in the winter mood, check out deals, score great new and used sports products, gear up for winter, and support the valley’s oldest and largest youth nonprofit,” a press release states.

AVSC Director of Communications Allison Johnson is encouraging community members valley-wide to attend.

“This is a really exciting time for AVSC,” she said. “We’re kicking off the winter. Our kids are in here training every day. This is just one more way to support the club. We’ve got a huge season coming up.”

Over 30 vendors and individual sellers will be offering deals on sports equipment, soft goods, accessories, and new and used sports products for skiing, snowboarding, Nordic, biking, fishing, climbing, and more. Vendors will include CP Helmets, Sidewinder Sports, Hamilton Sports, Incline Ski, Radio Boardshop, Snowmass Sports, Strafe Outerwear, Glenwood Ford, The Outside Society, Perlmutter Sports, and Miller Sports, among others.

Vendor space is still available for those interested.

“It’s a great opportunity to unload some gear,” Johnson added.

AVSC’s Sports Swap is the biggest opportunity in the midvalley to find great deals on new and used sport equipment. This event also supports AVSC, which receives 10% of sales at the swap that goes into its general scholarship fund to be distributed out across both team and recreational programming, “directly impacting our mission to provide all youth in the greater Roaring Fork Valley with the opportunity to excel as athletes and as people through winter sports,” Johnson said.

Shopping at the swap, she continued, “offers the opportunity to engage in a favorite local tradition while also supporting our valley kids and the oldest and largest youth nonprofit in the valley. We’re so grateful for those who come out each year to support these events and help us ensure we can continue our long tradition of not only exposing all youth here to winter sports, but also of helping them build a life-long passion for these sports that are so enduring and integral to our mountain communities.”
