River Stingray joined The Aspen Times as the senior reporter and assistant editor in 2025 before taking over as editor. Previously a reporter in Jackson Hole, River brings a trained eye and a love of wildlife, the environment and public lands to the team. She has a Master’s degree from the University of Cambridge and has traveled to 75 countries and all seven continents, in addition to being a published poet.
On her off days, you can find her outside with her boyfriend and their two dogs or at a Pilates class at 02 Aspen!
