Grammy- and Emmy-Award winner Christopher Jackson performs at Wheeler

Christopher Jackson
A little taste of “Hamilton” comes to Aspen as Theatre Aspen presents Grammy and Emmy-Award winner Christopher Jackson, in partnership with Wheeler Opera House.
As part of the original cast of the award-winning musical “Hamilton,” he depicted George Washington from 2015-2016 and earned a nomination for a Tony Award.
His multi-talents led him to portray Chunk Palmer in the CBS courtroom drama, “Bull,” which ran for six seasons. Additional television and film credits include “Freestyle Love Supreme,” “Person of Interest,” “A Gifted Man,” “Fringe,” “Gossip Girl,” “Tracers,” “Afterlife,” and “In the Heights.” He also composed for “Sesame Street,” which earned seven Emmy nominations and one win as well as won an Emmy Award for his song with Will.I.Am, “What I Am.”
He has sold out concerts throughout the nation, including in Carnegie Hall and the Kennedy Center. He debuts at the Wheeler Opera House with a collection of songs that have shaped his life, ranging from bluegrass and country to hip-hop, gospel, and R&B. And, of course, he’ll include songs from his Broadway career.
“Chris is a generational talent who is one of the nicest folks on Broadway,” said Jed Bernstein, producing director of Theatre Aspen. “We are so happy to be presenting someone from the original Hamilton company here in Aspen.”
