Peshek: Vote Cassie Harrelson for ASD Board of Education
As a former junior and senior at Aspen High School, I was invited to be a Student Liaison on the Board of Education. I was the bridge between the student population and the Board of Education. I saw how important it is to have someone who values the voices of the students, teachers, and support staff.
Cassie Harrelson understands how important it is to allow all staff and students to have such a voice. I feel there needs to be someone on the board who prioritizes listening to the students, teachers, and support staff. She understands that what is being taught in the classroom is meaningful and going to impact their futures.
As the time to vote for two open Board of Education seats for the Aspen School District approaches, I confidently put my vote in Cassie Harrelson.

Nearly 500,000 pounds of concrete dropped by helicopter for new Snowmass lift
Helicopters shouldn’t fly. That would be the takeaway if one was faced with a multi-ton Black Hawk — known by its owners as “The Lorax” — hovering overhead with 4,000 pounds of concrete in its grasp, its blades kicking up 35-mile-per hour winds and turning an otherwise pleasant summer morning into a violent, stick-ensued dust bowl.
