Andrews: Aspen’s entrance is an asinine debate

While I was busy relocating my business and family from Southeastern Pennsylvania to Snowmass Village in the spring of 1994, I was away from home for extended periods. Apparently, my persistent absences frustrated my four-year-old son. I walked into the front door of our home in Pennsylvania one afternoon near the end of the move, where my two daughters were elated, screaming Daddy’s home, Daddy’s home. As I walked past the “playroom,” I heard my son proclaim, “Who cares?”
Regarding your July 8, 2025, article entitled Aspen to re-evaluate 1996 Preferred Alternative, you wrote, “Aspen City Council on Monday directed staff to move ahead with a re-evaluation of the 1996 Preferred Alternative at Monday’s work session, potentially expediting the Entrance to Aspen project moving forward.”
After living in this valley for 31 years and having witnessed most of the half-century, asinine debate on the Entrance to Aspen, all I can say is, “Who cares!”
