Obituary: Helene Freeman

August 6, 1937 – July 29, 2025

Helene Plesnar Freeman, of Newtown, PA, died Tuesday, July 29, 2025 at St. Mary Medical Center. She was 87 years old.
Helene was the wife of the late Owen O. Freeman Jr. The couple had shared over 60 years of love, fond memories, family and friendship.
Born in Wilkes Barre, PA, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen Plesnar. She was also the loving mother of the late Owen O. Freeman III.
Throughout her years, Helene resided at various times in Camp Hill, PA, Aspen, CO, and Lititz, PA.
Helene will be missed and remembered by her son, John “Jack” Freeman, her daughter and son-in-law, Catherine “Kate” and Jeff Fedor, her grandchildren, Brooke, Max (Jenny), Alex (Jeff) and Madison, and her great-grandson, Nicholai. She is also survived by sister Constance James, her sister-in-law, Ann Plesnar, her brother-in-law, Matt Freeman and his wife, Patricia, and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of her life will be held on a future date.
