Brian Daniel Speck

Brian passed away peacefully on Saturday July 27th, 2013, in his Aspen Home with his loved ones by his side. He worked hard for 5 years to beat his brain cancer.

Brian was born on July 1st, 1963, in Huntington New York to Donald and Karin Speck.

In 1974, Brian moved to Aspen with his mother Karin and his sisters: Kim Jennifer & Leslie Christina. Brian graduated from Aspen High in 1981. He studied a year at Kansai Gaidai University in Osaka, Japan where he learned Japanese. He returned to Denver and received his degree in Finance and Real Estate from the University of Denver (DU).

Brian spent a few years working in California and returned to his beloved Aspen where he became president of Stewart Title Company for 9 years. He loved being actively involved in the Aspen Community. He became interested in politics and was appointed to the Aspen Planning & Zoning Board where he served 7 years.

Brian has been cremated and there will be a memorial service at a later date.
