Wonderful community asset

Thank you to the board of Cooper Corner Adult Day Center, Inc.

This program was established several years ago, under the umbrellas of wonderful organizations such as the First United Methodist Church and Columbine Home Health, Inc. Last year this program became independent, has been awarded it’s very own nonprofit 501(c)3 tax exempt number, and has established itself as an important health and human services provider.

Through the success of this program many local individuals have received the day-time support necessary to allow them to stay in their homes, or with their loved ones, thus avoiding premature placement in a care facility or assisted living.

None of this would have been possible without the perseverance and flexibility of the caring staff: Barbara Gugelman, Dorothy Ault, and Lori Adams. This feat also required many hours of dedication by the many volunteers, including the talented, dedicated, working board of directors: Lynn Bader, Linda Byers, Carrie Click, Sandra Gaston, Debbie Hull, Karen Matel, Eric McCafferty, E. Wayne Starr, and Paula Stepp.

Congratulations to this staff and board on their achievement of nurturing this valuable asset of our community.

Also, best wishes for all good things go out to the new board, including officers E. Wayne Starr, president; Bob Boas, vice president;

Lynn Bader, secretary; and Debbie Hull, treasurer.
