Vets meeting in Aspen on Monday, Aug. 27
The Aspen Elks Lodge will host a Veterans Town Hall meeting from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, Aug. 27. The gathering is geared toward veterans, their families, veterans’ survivors and anyone interested in veterans health care in the Roaring Fork Valley
Leadership from the Grand Junction Veterans Health Care System and other VA staff will be on hand to take questions and discuss local veterans’ needs. In addition, assistance will be available for veterans and veterans survivors who would like to know if they are eligible for VA health care or other benefits. This includes accessing care through the Choice Card program and how medical providers can register as a Choice provider.
The event is open to the public. The Elks Lodge is located at 510 E. Hyman Ave, No. 300.

Joe Biden became the 46th president of the United States on Wednesday, declaring that “democracy has prevailed” as he took the helm of a deeply divided nation and inherited a confluence of crises arguably greater than any faced by his predecessors.
