The man who died at the hospital following a rollover crash on Interstate 70 around 4:45 p.m. on Monday, July 14, was Denver resident Connor Alan Parks, 36, according to Summit County Coroner Amber Flenniken.
Colorado State Patrol Sgt. Ivan Alvarado said a black SUV rolled while traveling eastbound on Interstate 70 before going into the westbound lanes. The only passenger, Parks, was ejected from the vehicle, according to Alvarado.
State patrol has not yet determined a cause for the crash, but Alvarado noted heavy rain was reported at the time of the crash.
Interstate 70 westbound closed around 4:50 p.m. Monday and reopened around 8:20 p.m. The eastbound lanes closed at the same time, and one lane opened sometime before the eastbound lanes fully reopened around 6 p.m.
