Snowmass Town Council will listen to community feedback in September regarding the proposed Brush Creek roundabout project.
The town has proposed a roundabout at the intersection of Brush Creek and Owl Creek roads, which would include pavement reconstruction, pedestrian walkways, added bus stops, multimodal trial improvements, and more, according to a press release. It estimates the project would cost $8.5 million.
The council invites residents to give their two cents at 4 p.m., Sept. 2, at Snowmass Town Hall, 130 Kearns Road.
The project would improve safety and functionality for motorists, cyclists, pedestrians, and transit services, the release states. The roundabout construction would also allow the town and local agencies to update underground infrastructure and utilities.
“This intersection currently operates at a failing level-of-service,” the release states. “Safety is compromised during inclement weather, busy times of the year, and other operating conditions.”
