Snowmass man seeks return of Aston Martin
Aspen, CO Colorado
ASPEN ” A Snowmass Village resident filed a complaint in Pitkin County District Court against a former flame that, among other things, seeks the return of an Aston Martin DB9.
The luxury automobile is valued at more than $100,000, based on the complaint filed by Richard Goodwin on Friday.
“On or about June 2008, defendant was provided with an automobile, more specifically, an Aston Martin DB9 owned by the plaintiff’s son … so defendant could get on her feet as the relationship had ended in February 2008,” the complaint states.
Goodwin claims the defendant, Elizabeth Atkins, was also previously provided gifts “in contemplation of marriage” including two rings. Goodwin further claims that Atkins was given a credit card to be used for “emergencies only unless otherwise agreed to by” him.
The credit card was apparently given to Atkins in September 2007. The complaint also states Atkins misused the credit card.
As a result, Goodwin is requesting that “judgment [entered] in an amount certain based upon the amounts wrongfully charged to “his credit card … and return of gifts” to him. He also wants the Aston Martin returned.
