“Aspen slates own booth in ski shows” announced the Aug. 11, 1966, edition of The Aspen Times. The article went on to explain “An all-Aspen ski show booth is planned for display during two-month tour of ski shows this fall, according to an announcement by Buzz Bainbridge, Aspen Ski Corp official, recently. The Ski Corp., Aspen Highlands, Snowmass, and the Aspen Assn, are now drawing up plans for a four-way split of the costs of the booth and tour. Impressions Inc. of Aspen is designing the presentation. ” Other articles in The Aspen Times throughout the fall of 1966 boast the awards the booth won at ski shows in Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, and Washington, D.C.

Stranded, injured climber rescued on Capitol Peak
Mountain Rescue Aspen has successfully rescued a climber on Capitol Peak after they were reported “overdue” by the other member of their party.
