How do locals spend the first week of ski sesason — when there is really no snow on the slopes? Well, we talk about the season to come…and we get ready. We get our season passes, tune up our boards, make a toast to Ullr, watch the snow guns blow and maybe, just maybe, take a few turns in anticipation of the season ahead. And while the skiing was far from epic for this opening weekend, there is something to be said for just being back out on the hill. Fingers crossed this season turns out like 2007-08 (see story, page A1) — providing even better fodder for future installments of A Week in the Life …
