Aspen’s Buttermilk Ski Area hosted the inaugural Up in the Sky Music Festival on Friday and Saturday. The concerts were staged by C3 Presents and Belly Up Aspen, who is also behind the winter’s Palm Tree Music Festival.
Friday’s lineup included Shae District, Glass Beams, Suki Waterhouse, SG Lewis, and the headliner, Australia’s Rüfüs Du Sol.
Taking the stage on Saturday were Jensen McRae, Nessa Barrett, Role Model, and British rock band Glass Animals, with singer Kacey Musgraves as the festival closer.
Numerous DJs, many of them local, filled in between acts both days, including Jontre, Lo_G, Ryan Golbus, Natti, Haasy, and Kid Kamillion with Quervo.
The music festival fun only ramps up as the Jazz Aspen Snowmass Labor Day Experience returns to Snowmass Village from Aug. 29-31, with Imagine Dragons, Lenny Kravitz, and Luke Combs serving as headliners.
