Former President Donald Trump’s motorcade was spotted driving down Main St. on Saturday, as the 2024 presidential hopeful made a visit to Aspen for a private fundraising dinner. A plane presumably carrying Trump landed at Aspen/Pitkin County Airport around 4:30 p.m., with the motorcade making it through town around 5 p.m.
A handful of supporters for both Trump and current Vice President Kamala Harris stood at opposite corners of Paepcke Park with banners, flags, and posters as the motorcade passed by.
The Trump fundraiser, named the “TRUMP 47 Dinner,” offered various levels of participation, ranging from $25,000 to $500,000 per couple. The highest tier, at $500,000, included a spot on the Host Committee, a roundtable discussion, a photo opportunity, and VIP dinner seating.
Lower tiers offered perks such as photos and VIP seating for $100,000 and general dinner seating for $25,000.
The goal of the event was to raise significant funds for Trump’s campaign and the Republican National Committee (RNC). Contributions are split between Trump’s campaign, political action committees, and the RNC. Donations are allocated to the Trump for President general election account, the Trump for President recount account, the Save America PAC, and the RNC, according to the Trump 47 Committee.
It wasn’t made public where the dinner was being held.
