PHOTOS: Food & Wine Classic gets underway with welcome party, luncheon

The Food & Wine Classic returned to Aspen on Thursday with the official welcome party at the St. Regis. Earlier in the day, the Aspen Chamber Resort Association hosted its annual member luncheon as part of the Classic inside the Hotel Jerome.
Celebrity chefs and food fanatics will converge on Aspen this weekend for three days of seminars, tastings, and parties. Presented by FOOD & WINE magazine, the Classic goes through Sunday.

Aspen area included in ‘release zone’ for wolverine reintroduction
The Aspen area has been included in one of three general release zones for the reintroduction of wolverines into the state, according to preliminary information from Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s developing plan.
