Carbondale Arts hosted its annual Día de los Muertos — or Day of the Dead — celebration and parade through downtown Carbondale on Friday. Observed mostly in Mexico and other Latino countries, the holiday isn’t meant to be somber, but a comedic and lively way to honor those who have already passed on.
