The ski and snowboard season came to an end for Aspen Highlands on Sunday with the annual closing day party, hosted by the Highlands Alehouse.
After Buttermilk’s closing last weekend, this leaves only Snowmass and Aspen Mountain still operating. Snowmass will host its closing day festivities on Saturday, April 13 (with an official closing the next day), and Ajax will call it quits on Sunday, April 21, with a party at the Sundeck.

Aspen area included in ‘release zone’ for wolverine reintroduction
The Aspen area has been included in one of three general release zones for the reintroduction of wolverines into the state, according to preliminary information from Colorado Parks and Wildlife’s developing plan.
