Pave a piece of path
Dear Editor:
I was just driving home from Glenwood Springs and looking at this wonderful new paved bike path. I was thinking what a shame that we cannot ride all the way in to Aspen. It is not paved from Woody Creek to Cemetery Lane, so you have to go out on the road through Woody Creek and McLain Flats.
There is a bike path but it is not paved, and if you ride a road bike you need pavement. I can’t believe they will not pave this one small section of the path. Maybe they would avoid some of the motorist/cyclist conflicts I read about in today’s paper (“Sharing the road: A vicious cycle,” April 29) if they would get us off the road and onto the path.
