Paterson, Rose married

Jenny Paterson and Evan Rose were married Sept. 15, 2007, in a garden ceremony at Akahai Ani, a 1930s plantation home in Koloa, Kauai.

The service was officiated by the groom’s uncle, the Reverend Dugald Wilson. Attending the bride were Sacha Pfeifer, Carrie Paterson and Alex Kendrick. Wedding guests came from New Zealand, Australia, the United States and Europe.

The couple met in 2004 while working at Buttermilk. They are both still employed there ” Jenny as a ski patroller and Evan as a snowboard instructor.

The groom, born in Boston, grew up in Dunedin, New Zealand, and graduated from University of Otago. He is the son of Raymond Rose of Fairhaven, Mass., and Judith Firestone of Christchurch, New Zealand.

Born in Aspen to Charles and Fonda Paterson, the bride’s first home was the log cabin built by her father at the Boomerang Lodge, where she spent her childhood. The bride graduated from University of Colorado at Boulder.
