Colorado Highway 133 reopens after mudslide

Update: Colorado Highway 133 is reopened in both directions as of 6:41 p.m., according to a Pitkin Alert. While all hazards are clear, mud still exists on the roadway and drivers are asked to use caution.
A mudslide has blocked Colorado Highway 133 both ways, Pitkin County reported shortly after 4:40 p.m. Thursday.
The mudslide has occurred at mile marker 59.5, north of Avalanche Creek in the Crystal River Valley. Colorado Department of Transportation crews are en route to clear the road.
The expected length of the closure is to be determined.
