With the seasons transitioning from summer’s fast pace to a more relaxed autumn, September and October are prime time for a staycation. This fall, Viceroy Snowmass is offering a Colorado Resident Rate and ongoing programming — think trunk shows, picnic baskets to take on adventures, and live music in the lounge. With both towers now complete — Cirque first and then Pinnacle — the resort’s slopeside setting offers a variety of options for accommodation, as well as restaurants, bars, a spa, a pool, and a fitness center.

I recently visited the Viceroy, coinciding with a pop-up by luxury fashion brand Mestiza New York presenting its pre-fall collection in the lobby. The female-led and female-founded brand showcased its womenswear with an afternoon reception. Clever styles like the Convertible Collection were on display, designed to be adjustable or reversible to give multiple looks within a single garment.

Viceroy Snowmass also introduced a Veuve Clicquot Picnic Basket program, where resort guests can reserve a basket and blanket at different tiers to include a choice of champagne or non-alcoholic beverages and gourmet food — perfect for fall exploits.

From formal dining experiences to to-go orders, an eclectic range of on-site restaurants ranges from the Lounge to Toro — the signature Latin restaurant by acclaimed chef Richard Sandoval who is also behind Venga Venga at Base Village — and more than 60 restaurants across four continents and over a dozen countries. Aspen-based chef Matt Zubrod joined the Viceroy in early 2025 as culinary director, overseeing all dining outlets and incorporating his sense of flavors informed by Alpine and coastal influences from his time working in the Rocky Mountains and by the Pacific Ocean.

The pool area is a draw with plush new cushions on the chaise lounges, cascading hot tubs, a heated pool, a bar and grill, and prime views of the fall foliage.

The Colorado Resident can be found online with a preferred rate on accommodations, inclusive of valet parking, at viceroyhotelsandresorts.com/snowmass/offers/colorado-resident-offer.
