Mountain Mayhem: A wonderful World Cup

Aspen truly is a “Ski Town, Race Town” as the title of the drone show over Aspen Mountain over World Cup weekend would suggest.
World Cup ski racing returned with a bang on Friday, March 1, and Saturday, March 2, with a men’s giant slalom, and a slalom on Sunday, March 3.
Alpine racers from all over the world took part in the men’s tech disciplines, with fans along the course and at the base in the grandstands and VIP tent. While the Winternational celebration began in Snowmass for the opening ceremony, it was primarily centered at Wagner Park with a winter festival of live music and DJs, food and drink booths, sponsor activations, merch tents, free commemorative race posters, and more.
For me, the most unique and wow-factor aspect of the weekend was the drone sky story by Nova Sky Stories telling the lore story of ski racing on Aspen Mountain with 800 drones choreographed in the most fascinating form.
Congratulations to the entire team behind the weekend of racing and entertaining and thank you for an exceptional program!

Mountain Mayhem: Last call
The weekend of April 19-20 served as the last call for lift-served skiing at Aspen and Snowmass with parties planned at both resorts in a complementary fashion. The season ended on a high note with talented DJs scattered across the slopes for upbeat gatherings.
