Lakota Canyon wins Golf Week notice

Lakota Canyon Ranch in New Castle was recently named the No. 1 Colorado public access golf course and added to the list of “Top 100 Courses in America” by Golf Week Magazine.
In addition, Golf Week’s “Super News,” published for golf course superintendents, recently featured Lakota’s 18th hole on its cover.
The latest recognition comes on the heels of Lakota Canyon’s No. 5 ranking by Golf Digest in its January Issue of “America’s Best New Courses” and just as Lakota Canyon Ranch Real Estate is preparing to launch its newest filing, Deer Valley. Surrounded by a golf course with views in all directions, the first phase of Deer Valley will consist of 58 new lots ranging in size from 8,000 to 14,300 square feet, according to Lakota.
Golf Week Magazine acknowledged the coming development in its mention of Lakota: “Jim Engh holds nothing back at this intense launch pad of a course located firmly in the Rockies. Let’s hope it keeps its character once real estate starts popping up,” the magazine notes.
New Castle is located west of Glenwood Springs along the Interstate 70 corridor.
