Independence Pass closed for season

Independence Pass between Aspen in Pitkin County and Twin Lakes in Lake County is now closed for the season, according to a Thursday Pitkin County alert.

“Independence Pass on Highway 82 will be closed for the winter, due to winter conditions,” the alert states. “Expected length of this event is approximately till spring.”
