The Hotel Colorado was named the 2025 Association Partner of the Year by the Colorado Society of Association Executives (CSAE), the organization announced in a news release on Tuesday afternoon.

“My staff and I are very proud to be recognized by CSAE and the board of directors,” Hotel Colorado General Manager Larry MacDonald said in the release. “Being nominated two years in a row is flattering and to win it this year was a proud moment for our owners and management team of the Hotel Colorado.”

It marks the second consecutive year the historic hotel was nominated for the honor, which is presented annually to a member that CSAE finds has “significantly contributed to the association business.”

“This esteemed recognition honors Hotel Colorado for demonstrating outstanding dedication, innovation, and collaboration in advancing the mission and objectives of the association industry and CSAE,” CSAE Executive Director Su Hawk said in the release.

Known as the “Grand Dame of the Rockies,” the hotel once served as a U.S.S Navy hospital during World War II. It recently completed a $10 million renovation of its banquet halls, guest rooms and meeting spaces.  It is listed in the National Register of Historic Places and is a member of Historic Hotels of America.

The hotel offers more than 10,000 square feet of banquet space, six newly renovated private meeting rooms, and an onsite certified event planner.

“Hotel Colorado is the first-ever hotel Business Partner of the Year in CSAE’s history; they also hosted our state-wide Annual Conference in 2023.”

The CSAE has been connecting professionals throughout the state for over 70 years, and has over 400 members that represent over nearly 300 association and industry organizations.

“(CSAE) empowers association professionals to thrive by connecting them to a dynamic community of peers, content, insights, and strategic partnerships driving innovation, leadership growth, and organizational success,” the release states.
