Fall leaf composting available in Snowmass

Snowmass announced last week that town park will offer fall leaf and lawn composting until it snows.
Those wishing to compost can dispose of their leaves and lawn clippings in the composting bin, located near the Snowmass Rodeo roundabout entrance.
“The town strongly encourages residents to utilize this composting station for disposing of their leaves rather than depositing them in the community dumpsters,” a Snowmass press release states. “Property managers and landscaping companies responsible for yard waste collection from multiple properties are kindly asked to refrain from utilizing this bin.”

The press release reminds composters that trash, non-compostable items, branches, logs, wood, or other yard waste are not permitted in the composting bin.
