Disgraceful reporting
Dear Editor:
As a concerned senior and a physician, I was on the front row at the BOCC working session on Tuesday, July 6, covered in your front-page article today, July 7, by Janet Urquhart.
Sadly, Ken Canfield, the senior who has spearheaded the CCRC retirement community project, and who presented first, was not mentioned or credited in the article.
Also, there was a positive, upbeat attitude among supportive seniors present, who overflowed the available seating.
In addition to not crediting Ken Canfield as the co-presenter, the choice by Ms. Urquhart of negative and out-of-context quotes was unfair and contrary to journalistic traditions of displaying social justice for seniors. Shame on you!
