Colorado Mountain College commencement ceremony dates and details for Glenwood Springs, Aspen, Carbondale and Spring Valley campuses

Colorado Mountain College’s Aspen, Carbondale, Spring Valley and Glenwood Springs will participate in commencement ceremonies on April 24, May 1-2.
The EMT basic and Fire Academy commencement is scheduled for 5 p.m. on Friday, April 24, at the Carbondale & Rural Fire Protection District administration building at 301 Meadowood Dr. in Carbondale. Fire Chief Rob Goodwin will be the keynote speaker. Goodwin has served the department for over 25 years before becoming fire chief in 2018.
The Colorado Law Enforcement Training Academy (CLETA) commencement ceremony will be at 1 p.m. on Friday, May 1, at the CMC Spring Valley Field House at 3000 County Rd 114 in Glenwood Springs. New Castle Police Chief Stewart Curry will be the keynote speaker, having been program director at CLETA for nine years before becoming police chief.
The nurse pinning and commencement will be at 9 a.m. on Saturday, May 2, at the CMC Spring Valley Field House in Glenwood Springs. Dr. Cathy Coram, who will be retiring from CMC this year, is part of CMC’s nursing faculty, and has been a nurse for 50 years and in nurse education for 22 years.
General commencement will be at noon on Saturday, May 2, at the CMC Spring Valley Field House, with Michelle Lucero as keynote speaker. Lucero is a strategic advisor to Children’s Hospital of Colorado and an attorney with over 25 years of experience in the health care and telecommunications industries, and government.
