Autopsy set for 22-year-old man, Jake Foerster, from Snowmass
Local authorities have confirmed the identity of a 22-year-old man who was found dead in a Snowmass Village residence Wednesday night.
He was identified as Jake Foerster, whose Facebook page lists his occupation as a DJ-producer. A resident of Snowmass,.he also recently lived in British Columbia.
Snowmass police and emergency medical units responded to a call Wednesday in the Melton Ranch subdivision at 9:15 p.m. Wednesday, Snowmass Village Police Chief Art Smythe said.
“The report was that there was a male there who was unconscious and unresponsive,” Smythe said. “Efforts to revive him at the scene were unsuccessful, so it was an unattended death.”
An autopsy, including a toxicology test, will be conducted Friday, according to Michael Buglione, a deputy coroner for Pitkin County. Those results won’t be made public for a few weeks.
Smythe said there were no signs of foul play.
“The coroner will be the one who determines what the cause of death is,” he said.
