Aspen Valley Health moves forward with CEO selection

Aspen Valley Health has announced that its Board of Directors selected Dr. Richard Becker as the preferred candidate for the position of Chief Executive Officer.
The selection follows extensive interviews with four CEO finalists that were announced Nov. 10. According to a press release, the board is currently entering into discussions with Dr. Becker about the details of joining the Aspen Valley Health organization.
In accordance with Colorado statute, a formal offer letter will not be extended until 14 days following the public announcement of the finalists.
“Aspen Valley Health looks forward to sharing additional details regarding this appointment,” the press release states, which will take place at the Board of Directors meeting on Monday, Dec. 8.
Pitkin County outlines long-term climate goals
It all started with the declaration of a climate emergency in 2019. Then came Pitkin County’s creation of a 26-person citizen committee, analyzing “growth management challenges” through the lens of climate and quality of life, which sparked in 2024 the county’s establishment of a mutli-faceted “Vision 2050 Project.”
