Aspen Memorial Day service at noon

ASPEN – A Memorial Day service will take place at noon Monday at the Roaring Fork Veterans Memorial located on the east side of the Pitkin County Courthouse.

Veterans are encouraged to wear items of military memorabilia. The public is encouraged to attend.

Following the ceremony, Aspen Elks Lodge No. 224 will host a community picnic at Connor Park next to Aspen City Hall. The entire country is being asked to observe a moment of silence at 3 p.m. in memory of the nation’s fallen military men and women.
