Aspen-based landscape design firm 4EVERGREEN Landscapes is hosting its first Food and Clothing Drive to give back to the community it serves.
The drive will take place on the east side of Wagner Park on Saturday, Nov. 22, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. Food will be donated to local food security nonprofit LIFT-UP, and clothes will be donated to Defiance Thrift Store in Glenwood Springs.
4EVERGREEN Founder and Director of Operations Broderick Taylor, who is also an Aspen High School graduate along with his co-founder Emilio Adams, said the idea for the drive was born out of his love for the valley he’s called home.
“My love for Aspen is immense,” Taylor said. “It’s my favorite spot in the world. I love our climate, I love the environment, I love the people, I love the Roaring Fork community.”
With food insecurity on the rise and recent SNAP benefit pauses, he said a food and clothing drive seemed to him like a good way to start giving back. According to LIFT-UP data, there has been a 600% increase in need in the valley since 2020.
“Our goal is to always to try and give back to the community,” he said. “Hopefully, this drive can be the first of many.”

Pitkin County emergency dispatch director sees national recognition

That’s the philosophy proven by the director of Pitkin County Regional Emergency Dispatch Center, Brett Loeb, who was just recognized nationally as the 2025 Public Safety Answering Point Finest Director of the Year by NiCE Public Safety — an organization that recognizes emergency communications excellence.
