The Aspen/Pitkin County Housing Authority will be hosting a Fiduciary Duty 101 for HOA Boards Seminar from noon to 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 15.

According to APCHA, fiduciary duties of board members to the community associations they serve include duty of care, duty of loyalty, and duty to act within the scope of authority.

Discussion points of the seminar will include fiduciary duty of a board of directors on an HOA, essential components of good governance for HOAs, and tips and tools for good governance, according to an APCHA flyer. Molly Foley-Healy, with the law firm Winzenburg, Leff, Purvis & Payne, will lead the class — Foley-Healy specializes in community association law, with years of experience advising HOAs.

The class will take place remotely via Zoom. For the Zoom QR, meeting ID, and passcode, visit https://www.apcha.org/CivicAlerts.aspx?AID=2467.
